When added to water, Oxy-Pool immediately disassociates to natural soda ash (essentially inert except for slightly increasing the pH of the water) and hydrogen peroxide, which oxidizes algae and other organic matter. Oxy-Pool can be used in all types of pools, but is ideally suited for vinyl lined pools and will not attack or bleach out the lining’s color. This product is compatible with the more expensive Quat algaecides, and can be economically used to pre-treat an algae infested pool 2-3 days prior to the use of normal treatment methods.
